Techno Artists You Need To See At Dreamstate SoCal 2023
Trance lovers of all ages will reunite once again this weekend for Dreamstate SoCal 2023. Insomniac’s progressive and trance festival will take place November 17-18, at its new home, The Queen Mary Waterfront.
Along with the new location, Dreamstate will also be including rare techno artists that the West Coast, and even all of North America, typically never see.
This will not only be a treat for techno lovers but also for tranceheads because of the overlap between hard trance and hard techno.
EDM Maniac is gearing up for Dreamstate week and we couldn’t be more excited, especially for the lineup. Here are our recommendations for artists who will bring a darker flavor to the eclectic festival:
1. Fatima Hajji
If you’re looking for undeniably high energy, you need to see Fatima Hajji. Fatima Hajji is a powerhouse Spanish DJ and producer, renowned for her electrifying techno sets.
With a career spanning over two decades, she not only has become a household name for techno elitists, but also an unstoppable entrepreneur with her record label, Silver M.
Make no mistake, Shlømo is a must-see artist at Dreamstate SoCal 2023. If you’re curious about what an authentic European hard techno set looks like, his set is exactly where you need to be.
Shlømo is a Parisian-born DJ and producer recognized for his relentless and dark hard techno sound. Throughout his impressive career, he has launched two labels and many projects, including his most recent alias, Viper Diva.
He has quickly become one of the most influential figures within the genre and we don’t see him slowing down anytime soon.
Hailing from Madrid, Indira Paganotto is a DJ and producer renowned for her impeccable “psytechno” style.
Growing up, she was surrounded by electronic music because her father was a DJ. Now armored with her expansive knowledge of music, she perfectly blends 90’s disco, psytrance, and numerous other genres with underground techno.
Klangkuenstler is a German DJ and producer celebrated for blending vibrant house beats with the sounds of techno and deep house.
In 2012, he moved from his hometown, Bavaria, to the techno capital, Berlin, then after gaining some traction for his unique sound, he began releasing on prominent record labels, such as Filth on Acid, EXHALE, and his own label Zuckerton Records and Outworld.
Dutch DJ and producer, Maddix, has curated skillful sets that have drawn the masses and created a devoted fanbase. He effortlessly combines main room music with trance and techno, which is why his performances are unlike any other.
He has released records on beloved labels like Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings, Spinnin’, Armada, and more. Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Amelie Lens, and Oliver Heldens are just some of his greatest supporters in the industry.
If you’re looking for a set that serves a taste test of multiple genres, add Maddix to your set-time schedule.
