Finnish EDM Artists Join Forces to Form Luxonia

Finnish Artists United into a Giant Collective – Luxonia Includes Almost 20 DJs & Producers of Electronic Dance Music!

In a groundbreaking move for the Finnish electronic dance music (EDM) scene, nearly 20 prominent artists have come together to form Luxonia, a collective that is making waves across Finland and the Nordic countries. This group, made up of 17 artists and three key industry figures, is setting a new standard for collaboration in the EDM community.

Luxonia‘s members have graced stages at major events like the Weekend Festival and Electronic Fields Festival. They have also produced tracks for both local and international record labels. Impressively, seven of the collective’s members are currently featured on Finland’s Top 30 list of EDM producers based on monthly Spotify streams.

“Luxonia‘s mission is to elevate the profile of Finnish electronic music on both the domestic and global stage.“

Explains Tomi Lindblom, the collective’s artist manager. Lindblom, who has over a decade of experience in managing EDM festivals and artists, adds;

“We organize events and collaborate with major festivals, and we’re also exploring new types of partnerships and events to showcase our talent. Our belief is that unity makes us stronger, and we are already seeing the benefits of our collaborative approach.“

Luxonia‘s founding artists include some of the most well-known names in the Finnish EDM scene: Axity, DeejaVu, Eric Altair, JaySic, Joysic, KLASS, KUOKKA, Lionis, Loose, Mike Ditchz, Robbe, Sm!le, Thomas Will, Triple M, VIIO, Walter Alan, and WhoKnows. These artists represent cities across Finland, from the capital region to Jyväskylä, Kouvola, Lappeenranta, Tampere, and Vaasa.

Adding to the collective’s strength are industry veterans Matias and Elmeri Taavitsainen, who bring extensive experience in organizing EDM events, including the renowned Electronic Fields Festival in Helsinki.

“Luxonia is more than just a group of artists. We have technical and artistic expertise that sets us apart. We’ve already hosted several events and have many more planned.“

Says the Taavitsainen brothers. Luxonia‘s influence is rapidly growing. Nine of its artists recently performed at the Weekend Festival in Finland, and the group also hosted the Helsinki Goes EDM event during the Night of The Arts in the heart of the Finnish capital. Next up, the collective will be headlining the Electronic Fields Festival in Helsinki on August 24, 2024, followed by a special performance on the Electric Carneval cruise on September 28, 2024
