Markus Schulz unveils ‘In Search of Sunrise 21 – Nirvana’: Listen

Markus Schulz has revealed the next chapter of the legendary In Search of Sunrise series with the release of Nirvana. Following the ethereal opening mix The Awakening, this new installment serves as the emotional centerpiece of ISOS 21—a journey designed to capture the heart of nightfall on the dancefloor.

“The Awakening set the stage, but Nirvana is where the music fully consumes you,” Markus explained. “It’s that moment when time disappears and the melodies carry you into another dimension.” True to his vision, Nirvana flows seamlessly from deep progressive grooves into melodic techno and culminates in euphoric trance, reaffirming why the series has inspired dreamers for more than two decades.

The mix bridges generations of talent. Legendary names such as Röyksopp, Ferry Corsten, Kyau & Albert, and L.S.G. stand alongside rising innovators including Rebūke, Cristoph, Hel:sløwed, Hellmuth, and Shadow Assembly. Highlights include Robert Nickson’s reimagined Heliopause, Daxson’s introspective Amber Horizon (ISOS Mix), and Markus’ own collaboration with BLR on Ten Seconds Before Sunrise, a touching tribute to Tiësto’s original ISOS legacy. Markus also closes with What Remains of Us, a track that captures the project’s emotional core.

Set for release on August 27, Nirvana paves the way for the trilogy’s finale, The Nocturnal Voyage, which arrives on September 17 alongside the complete CD and vinyl box set. For Markus, Nirvana represents both a tribute to ISOS history and a statement for its future: music that transcends boundaries and unites generations.
