Sónar+D 2026 Reveals Full Music, AI, and Digital Culture-Focused Programme

Sónar Barcelona is not playing it safe in 2026. The festival’s innovation and digital culture platform, Sónar+D, has officially unveiled a bold new program centered on the future of AI, digital art, internet culture, and human connection. This year’s edition will take place on June 18 and 19, 2026 at Llotja de Mar in central Barcelona, marking a major new chapter for one of electronic music’s most forward-thinking creative gatherings.

The 2026 program is built around three core themes: AI & Music, Beyond the Screen, and Digital Gardens and Dark Forests. Together, they reflect a bigger idea driving this year’s event: moving away from passive tech consumption and toward a more active, human relationship with the digital world.

One of the biggest talking points this year will be AI & Music powered by S+T+ARTS, which returns for its third year and leans directly into what Sónar describes as a “post-AI” reality. Highlights include a duet between jazz pianist Ignasi Terraza and an AI system developed by Philippe Salembier, plus appearances from Anna Xambó, François Pachet, Nao Tokui, Rob Clouth, Daito Manabe, and Dadabots.

Outside the AI conversation, Sónar+D 2026 also pushes deeper into digital identity, physicality, and the changing shape of the internet. The lineup includes names like niceaunties, Mónica Rikić, Keiken, Roxanne Harris, Eneritz Tejada, Yancey Strickler, Mindy Seu, and Joana Moll, alongside performances from Evicshen, Fitnesss & Riusforza, and Shoeg.

Another major change for 2026 is accessibility. For the first time, Sónar is offering standalone Sónar+D tickets, including 2-day passes and day tickets, giving fans the option to experience the conference and digital culture program on its own or bundle it with the full SonarPass+D. That is a smart move, especially for creatives, students, and industry professionals who may want to immerse themselves in the ideas shaping the future of music without necessarily attending the entire festival weekend.

If this first reveal is any indication, Sónar+D 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most important meeting points of the year for anyone interested in where music, creativity, and technology are heading next. Get your tickets here.
