Tiësto Teams Up With CLEOPARD2000 and CH4YN on ‘Hard To Be Around’

Tiësto is going full speed on his latest single. The Dutch icon has teamed up with Berlin-based artists CLEOPARD2000 and CH4YN on ‘Hard To Be Around’, out now via Musical Freedom and Atlantic Records. This collaboration marks a significant moment for the producer as he continues to explore the faster, more aggressive sounds currently dominating the global dance scene.

Running at 143 BPM, the track draws on the vocal trance and Eurotrance sounds of the late ’90s and 2000s and gives them a harder, modern edge. Fast kicks and driving basslines keep the energy high, while bright, euphoric synths carry the melody. The vocal adds a more emotional layer, touching on self-doubt and the feeling of being “hard to be around.”

The collaboration brings together two generations of the scene. Tiësto’s roots in trance run deep, while CLEOPARD2000 and CH4YN come from Berlin’s fast-moving new wave of club music. It fits neatly into his recent run of trance-leaning moments, from his epic trance journey at UNVRS Ibiza to teasing a rebrand of his Musical Freedom label.
