Marcos Baiano Returns to the Underground with 2HOT2HANDLE

Marcos Baiano makes his long-awaited return to the electronic music scene with the launch of his new label, 2HOT2HANDLE. His debut EP, Back To The Future, arrives on October 16, featuring a remix from Terence :Terry:. This release serves as more than just a musical comeback; it is a profound re-entry statement from an artist who spent nearly eight years away from the underground, following a transformative period in Berlin where he managed B.SOUL Limited.

A New Vision for Underground Culture

The record bridges the gap between the past and the future, utilizing what Baiano describes as “electro-black-soul.” The EP is built upon chunky house grooves, acid-tinged movements, and the warmth of analogue hardware, including the Moog Sub Phatty and Subsequent 37. For Baiano, the goal is to maintain the attitude and depth of classic club music without falling into the trap of museum-style nostalgia.

Reflecting on his time away, Baiano notes that the scene has accelerated significantly since his departure in 2017. “Everything moves incredibly fast now, and sometimes I feel we are losing the context, curiosity, and depth that have always made underground music special,” he explains. His new imprint, 2HOT2HANDLE, is designed to be a sanctuary—a space to slow down and experience music with greater intention.

Faith, Purpose, and Musical Momentum

Baiano’s approach to his craft has shifted from chasing chart success to pursuing a deeper, more spiritual connection. Having achieved early career success with multiple Beatport Top 3 tracks, he realized that the pursuit of short-term momentum did not align with his artistic identity. Today, his work is grounded in his faith and a desire to transmit peace through sound.

“I finally feel free from judgement, trends and external pressure, and I live with much more peace and gratitude,” Baiano shares. This philosophy is encapsulated in the label’s motto, “GUIDED BY FREQUENCY,” which emphasizes following one’s creative path even when it defies conventional industry expectations. By prioritizing long-term growth and authenticity, Baiano hopes to encourage listeners to find their own personal momentum in an increasingly noisy world.
