Armin van Buuren & Adam Beyer join forces on debut collab ‘Techno Trance’: Listen

Armin van Buuren has teamed up with Adam Beyer for the first time, releasing their debut collaboration ‘Techno Trance’. The track reimagines Dutch producer D-Shake’s 1992 anthem ‘Techno Trance (Paradise Is Now)’, fusing the roots of trance and techno into a fresh, modern production built for today’s global stages.

Where the original thrived on raw 909 beats and hypnotic riffs, Armin and Adam deliver a 2025 rework that blends uplifting synths, euphoric breakdowns, pounding kicks, and driving percussion. The result is a crossover piece that honors the genre-blurring spirit of the early ’90s while introducing a sound that resonates with both techno and trance audiences.

Techno Trance still hits hard after 30 years,” said Armin. “Reworking it with Adam let us revive the spirit of that era in a 2025 jacket, connecting a new generation on the dancefloor with our combined signature sounds.” Adam added: “Playing the track back-to-back with Armin and seeing both trance and techno fans connect instantly was incredible. It shows that great music goes beyond genres and eras.

The collaboration premiered during their back-to-back performance at A State of Trance 2025 in Rotterdam, instantly becoming a highlight of both artists’ sets. To extend the release visually, Armin and Adam also launched a limited-edition T-shirt featuring a mirrored ‘Techno Trance’ design, available now via Armada Music and Drumcode.
