Belfast’s AVA Festival Drops Heavyweight Underground Lineup For 2025

Belfast’s AVA Festival has locked in its first artist names for 2025.

Taking place on the industrial docks of Belfast’s Titanic Slipways, the former shipbuilding site where the famously doomed ocean liner first touched the water back in 1911, the two-day house and techno party will return for its 11th edition on May 30-31.

This year’s lineup again sees AVA build its reputation as a bastion of the Northern Irish city’s small but mighty club scene with a top-notch roster of electronic heavyweights, including headline performances from foundational 1990s UK rave duo Underworld and next-gen genre torchbearers Overmono.

Other high-profile acts helping to launch the festival’s next decade include Scottish house sensation Ewan McVicar, techno stars KI/KI, VTSS, and 999999999, and global underground stalwarts Job Jobse, Sally C, and Tommy Holohan, alongside another TBA special guest.

Elsewhere on the lineup are DJ sets from respected techno selectors like AK SPORTS, BASHKKA, and DJ Python and UK garage spinners like Sam Alfred and OK Williams, plus live performances from rising electroclash duo Fcukers and two of Ireland’s leading techno artists in SLOUCHO and Spray. The latter artist will present his “Spriitzz” live show.

Keeping with tradition, AVA Festival will also spotlight a bevy of emerging local talent from Northern Ireland and across the UK. Check out the full phase one lineup below.

New for 2025, this year’s festival will also feature a full run of community arts programming, spanning industry panels, production workshops, art installations, guided tours of Belfast, and more. The full program will be unveiled in the coming months.

Before AVA’s flagship event kicks off in Belfast, the party outfit will also host its annual London weekender and conference in March, with performances from Marcel Dettmann, LSDXOXO, X CLUB., and more.
