Dario G Takes Us To Ibiza With His New Summer Album 'Hola'
With 7 UK Top 40 hits under his belt, platinum-selling DJ/producer Dario G has released his highly anticipated third album ‘Hola’ this week through Front of House Recordings, marking his first studio album in almost two decades.
The producer’s new single from the album, ‘You Make the Sunrise’, premiered on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Party Anthems’ on Friday night and is inspired by the uplifting, Ibiza-type sunrise moment in a club.
The peak, end-of-night, almost spiritual lift-off from the vocals are backed by syncopated, euphoric synth stabs. There’s a simple lyrical message of love or friendship, that also serves as a motivational reminder to “carry on”; that positivity and determination that a new day brings.
“’ You Make the Sunrise’ was huge fun to make,” said Paul (aka Dario G). “My new album was almost complete and my state of mind relaxed, refreshed and that vibe seems to show here. I wrote the chords on the piano but transferred them to a synth stab sound, very much in the same vein as tracks like a ‘Sunchyme’ and ‘Dream to Me’”.
Dario G’s track record in the global dance scene is undisputed, with millions of record sales and a string of international hits to his name including club classic ‘Sunchyme’, The Beach movie soundtrack ‘Voices’, and collaborations with the likes of Pitbull and Shirley Bassey. His FIFA World Cup anthem ‘Carnaval de Paris’ features on Deliveroo’s 2020 national UK TV campaigns.
Teeming with positivity and feel-good energy, the album could not have arrived at a better time, offering a much-needed ray of sunshine for the summer ahead.
