EDC Orlando’s Camping World Stadium Begins Renovations

Orlando’s Camping World Stadium—home of EDC Orlando—is officially getting a much needed major upgrade. City officials have broken ground on a massive $400 million renovation project that promises to turn the 90-year-old venue into a futuristic masterpiece. The construction, which is already underway on the stadium’s north end, marks the final phase of a vision that began nearly two decades ago. While the stadium underwent a significant partial reconstruction in 2014, officials say this project is about “finishing the job” to ensure Orlando remains a top-tier destination for global events.

The project aims to rebuild nearly every part of the stadium and will create approximately 1,500 jobs, with about 400 workers on site at peak construction. Once complete, Camping World Stadium will seat more than 65,000 fans, allowing it to host NFL games, major college football events, concerts and other large-scale entertainment.

City leaders say the economic impact extends beyond the stadium itself, with increased foot traffic expected to benefit surrounding businesses.

“The more bodies we have coming through, the more time people are spending competing here on campus, the more dollars are going to have to invest in people’s individual small businesses”- Mayor Hogan

Crews are renovating the stadium in phases while work continues, allowing events like EDC Orlando 2026 to proceed as planned. Fans may notice some construction around the perimeter as the venue transforms. Stay tuned to EDMTunes for all your latest updates in the world of dance music.
