Central Cee joins the line-up for Big Smoke Festival
Big Smoke Festival is back at the Crystal Palace Bowl this summer across August 9 and 10. The Saturday is focused mainly on live music performances, while the Sunday is dance music heavy.
Central Cee has just joined the on Saturday line-up, where he will play alongside Skepta, JME, Frisco, Chip, Chy Cartier, Skyla Tylaa, BXKS and Jordsss.
“Cench is undeniably dominating the UK rap game at the moment. It’s both an honour and privilege to add him to Big Smoke’s line-up,” says Skepta.

Simple Things announces first wave line-up for 2025
Simple Things is back in Bristol for its 11th edition on November 8 this year.
Organised by Crack Magazine, Team Love and Bristol Beacon, it brings three of the city’s cultural institutions together for a diverse musical showcase.
Artists announced so far include Iglooghost, Smerz, Jawnino, Mechatok, Ceephax Acid Crew and Florence Sinclair.
Matthew Aitken, Programmer at Bristol Beacon, said: “Simple Things has always been about pushing things forward – championing artists who aren’t afraid to experiment and challenge the status quo. For 2025, we’ve curated a line-up that captures the energy, innovation and raw creativity that make modern music so exciting right now.”

LIS-BON confirms line-up for 2025 festival
Portugese electronic festival LIS-BON has confirmed its full 2025 line-up, with the three-day event set to take over the Jardim Keil do Amaral across June 27-29.
Among artists travelling to the heart of Lisbon for the festival this year include ANOTR, DJ Nobu, CC:Disco!, Dennis Cruz, Paramida, Cinthie, Speedy J and many more.
“This year, we’re setting the bar even higher,” says LIS-BON promoter Ze Diogo, “With last year’s incredible sell-out success, we’re confident that 2025 will continue the momentum and bring even more people together to experience something truly unforgettable.”

HOWL to throw multi-venue party in Hackney Wick for Pride 2025
London queer party HOWL is set to take over Hackney Wick venues No.90 Hideout, Colour Factory and Hackney Bridge for a multi-event festival to celebrate Pride 2025.
Taking place on July 5, HOWL Pride Festival will see sets from LOLSNAKE, Manuka Honey, TEDESCO, Juliana Huxtable, Magnetic, LO-LOW and many more — offering an alternative to mainstream Pride events in London.

Exposé Noir launches new four-day electronic festival in Montreal
Montreal-based party promoters Exposé Noir are launching a new four-day, electronic music-focused event in Montreal this month from May 16 – 19.
Taking place at the Belvédère du Centre des Sciences, Exposé Noir boasts over 50 hours of programming across four stages, taking over a “reimagined industrial hub”. The festival location comprises a rooftop, open-air terrace, all-glass pavilion, and a parking lot stage.
The line-up for Exposé Noir’s debut edition includes Avalon Emerson, Djrum, Buttechno, Helena Hauff, Polygonia, DJ Nobu, Wata Igarashi, Mama Snake, and many more.

Dankie Sounds curate third edition of Peckham Renaissance this summer
London-based collective Dankie Sounds are set to curate the third edition of Peckham Renaissance this summer, founded by Clement Ogbonnaya.
The programme takes place across four Fridays in June, kicking off on June 6 at the Prince of Peckham pub, with artists lined up including DJ Neptizzle, Kwamzy, Via Seri, and more.
“At a time when London is losing so many of its nightlife institutions and creative spaces, it’s more important than ever to protect what matters to the community,” says Clement Ogbonnaya, founder of Prince of Peckham.

Transmissions from Hackney unveils new wave of acts for 2025
London day festival Transmissions from Hackney has revealed the latest slew of acts set to appear at its next day-to-night event on September 27.
This year, DJ Masda, Spekki Webu, Kia, DJ MARIA., Sugar Free, MJK, Skee Mask, Bitter Babe, Ehua, upsammy, Wata Igarashi, and more are set to appear throughout the day.
“Over the coming months, we will reveal more details on stage breakdowns, set times, soundsystems, the record fair, workshops as well as new venues and (subject to license) later finishes across our night venues,” the festival revealed.
