Hardwell Will Take Over Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance Radioshow
The multifaceted EDM icon will temporarily become the face of the world’s most important Trance radioshow.
Just like you just read. Hardwell will be the official host of A State Of Trance this week. Not guest; host. This, since flagship artist and Armada co-founder Armin van Buuren is currently out on holiday, and passed the responsibility of carrying the show on in his absence to one of his dearest colleagues.
The two Dutch artists have a history that goes all the way back to their first-ever collaboration, ‘Off The Hook’, released simultaneously on both artists’ labels Armada and Revealed in the year 2015. What struck as a surprise back then nurtured a long-lasting friendship, and has resulted in interesting cameos over the years, such as their follow-up collaboration ‘Follow The Light’, released earlier this year, and which leans more to Armin’s side, in contrast to ‘Off The Hook”s EDM-scented nature.
Hardwell on ASOT
This Thursday, Breda-bound Hardwell will take on the duties of the usual Armin transmission, conducting and mixing hour one of the show. Meanwhile, hour two will be a piece of one of Armin’s latest Ushuaïa Ibiza sets, celebrating the release of the ASOT 2025 Ibiza compilation. We’ve yet to see if the ‘Spaceman’ author will take the show into his own grounds or master a set in true A State Of Trance colours.
Whatever the outcome is, we’re eagerly awaiting it, and you can do so too, by keeping an eye on Armin van Buuren’s official YouTube channel, the home for the A State Of Trance show week after week, as it’s been the case for almost 25 years.
