Insomniac Moves EDC Thailand to December for 2026 Edition

Insomniac has announced that EDC Thailand will shift to new December dates beginning in 2026, with the festival returning for its third edition on December 18–20, 2026 at Rhythm Park in Phuket. The move marks a departure from the festival’s previous January schedule, aiming to improve travel accessibility and overall experience for international Headliners.

Beginning Thursday, January 22 at 7:00 PM PT / Friday, January 23 at 10:00 AM ICT, Insomniac will offer a limited-time presale starting at $229, with access available through the official EDC Thailand website.

The announcement follows this past weekend’s January 2026 edition, where Headliners once again experienced EDC Thailand’s immersive playground, featuring large-scale stage production, interactive art installations, carnival rides, pyrotechnics, and globally curated electronic music programming.

Insomniac Founder Pasquale Rotella explained that the move to December was made to better align with international travel schedules and holiday time off, while also offering more comfortable weather conditions. He noted that hosting the festival in January posed challenges for travelers who had just returned from holiday and New Year breaks, whereas December allows fans to plan trips more easily and enjoy cooler temperatures.

The new dates also place EDC Thailand one week after Tomorrowland’s newly confirmed Thailand edition, scheduled for December 11–13, 2026, creating consecutive major festival weekends in the country and further positioning Thailand as a global winter festival destination for electronic music fans.

The third edition of EDC Thailand will build upon experiential features introduced at the January 2026 show, including:

Hotel EDC Thailand, which made its international debut outside Las Vegas in partnership with Angsana Laguna Phuket, offering resort-based programming along Bang Tao Bay.
Downtown EDC, which brought fan-favorite activations such as Kandi Casino, Diva, and EDC Karaoke Battles to Thailand for the first time.
Binary Beach, a reflective wellness and movement space inspired by sea anemones and Thai musical rhythms, emphasizing self-expression and emotional release.

For December 2026, Insomniac is also introducing a new All-Access Experience Pass, granting entry to the Thursday Night Official Opening Beach Party as well as daily day parties throughout the weekend. Additional details on programming, accommodations, and lineup information are expected to be announced in the coming months.

First launched in January 2025, EDC Thailand has quickly established itself as one of Southeast Asia’s premier electronic music festivals, blending Electric Daisy Carnival’s signature production with culturally inspired art and performance elements unique to the region.

With its move to December, EDC Thailand now aligns more closely with peak travel season, reinforcing the country’s growing reputation as a major international destination for large-scale electronic music events.
