Nicole Kidman parties at New York club BASEMENT in erotic thriller film Babygirl
Eagle-eyed cinema-goers have identified an underground dance music institution within the recently released A24 erotic thriller Babygirl.
It was spotted in a scene where the protagonist Romy, played by Nicole Kidman, looks for her younger lover, Samuel – AKA Harris Dickinson – within the dark recesses of a sweaty nightclub. The real-life location was, in fact, New York’s infamous techno hot spot, BASEMENT.

A number of social media users have identified the Queens-based techno spot, that is located in the basement of arts hub the Knockdown Center, with Twitter user @izzio123 writing in August 2024: “I only want to see Babygirl bc I’m told Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson go to Basement in it”
