Orlando Reveals New Look for EDC Stadium & Searches For New Naming Sponsor

As we come closer to reunite under the electric sky, we ran into some exciting news. The City of Orlando has published the upgrades to Camping World Stadium, the home of Insomniac’s EDC Orlando. The suggested changes would increase the capacity of the stadium to 65,000 seats, as well as upgrade the upper bowls and add an extra upper bowl on the north side.

Camping World Stadium

Shortly after the EDC Orlando 2025 lineup became available, the city of Orlando released proposed updates to the stadium. Furthermore, engineers have explained the upgrades and changes, including additional anti-hurricane structures and a new external aesthetic.

Although the project has taken years, we now have an idea of what the final results will be. Changes include upgraded suites and a new retractable stage, which would attract bigger musical guests. It will be interesting to see popular DJs play inside the stadium, compared to the outer grounds. These upgrades come after Orange County approved $400 million towards the project.

Nonetheless, we don’t know if the stadium will be renamed, as the virtual renderings show generic naming rights. As excited as we are to see the new layout in full glory, the Municipal Board will go over the project on August 19th.

New Naming Partner

Camping World Stadium will be no more. A city spokesperson told Orlando Business Journal that the naming rights deal expired in 2024, and Orlando is now considering new naming rights partners. Thus, the renderings are free of Camping World signage. The rebrand is being tied with the stadium overhaul. Naming rights are expected to cost anywhere from $2 million to $5 million per year.

We’re just 4 months away from one of Florida’s best weekends. This year’s lineup is stellar as usual, and tickets are selling out fast. We hope the stadium upgrades also mean upgraded campgrounds, as promised by Pasquale.
