Paradise Garden, Wales’ first listening bar, has opened in Cardiff. Located on City Road, the venue – founded by David Bull and Esther Taylor – intends to revive Cardiff’s music scene by providing a platform for lesser known sounds. The bar is set to host live music, DJs and record collectors – boasting a hi-fi sound system and DJ booth.
Co-founder and Director David Bull shared his excitement about the new venue: “It’s an honor to contribute towards this revitalisation of Cardiff’s music scene through the opportunity of taking over this amazing venue space which already has a rich history of nurturing creative communities – something that Esther and I are totally committed to continuing.”
The 213 City Road space has previously been home to Blue Honey Local and Eartha, starting out as one of the first vegan spots in Cardiff, Milgi.
Lemfreck, Ani Glass, Voya and Surgeons Girl are all set to play Paradise Garden in the next few weeks, with more artists and DJs from Wales and beyond also scheduled for the near future.
Paradise Garden is open from Thursday-Sunday weekly, find out more here.
