Simon Patterson Pulls Out of Luminosity Due To Severe Gallbaldder Infection
Beloved trance DJ and producer Simon Patterson has pulled out of Luminosity this weekend due to a severe gallbladder infection. He took to social media yesterday and posted about what had happened. What started out as abdominal pain grew to become gangrenous cholecystitis. It is a serious complication of acute cholecystitis where the gallbladder tissue begins to die. That is due to reduced blood flow. After being rushed to a hospital in Singapore, scans and tests showed the worsening condition. While he is home and in recovery, he is not allowed to travel until at least July 4th and is going through the movement of post-surgery now. Fans of his community extend their deepest well wishes for him.
“I’m beyond annoyed with the timing of this situation as Luminosity has always been one of my favourite shows anywhere in the world but this is what we call sod’s law. I have to focus on the positive – that this ongoing issue is hopefully now fixed permanently. Sending big respect to the doctors and surgeons of Parkway East and Singapore General Hospital who were so swift in diagnosis and subsequent surgery. The moral of the story – if something feels wrong, go get it checked before it turns into something sinister.”
During this challenging time, our thoughts are with Simon Patterson. We extend our warmest wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. May he find strength and comfort from the unwavering support of family, friends, and the countless fans he’s touched through his music. We do not know when he will be back. But we look forward to when Patterson can once again share his incredible talent with the world, refreshed and revitalized. Take care, Simon!
