A Decade of “No Phones, Just Music”

Since its inception, This Never Happened has become known not only for its distinct melodic house and progressive sound, but also for its no-phones policy, asking attendees to stay present rather than record performances. The philosophy has become central to Lane 8’s live shows, fostering a uniquely intimate connection between artists and crowds.

“Experience the moment. Don’t record it. This Never Happened,” Goldstein reminded fans in his announcement, a message that has defined the project since its earliest events.

Over the last decade, the label has released critically praised albums, curated festival stages around the world, and cultivated a loyal global community drawn to its emotionally driven, atmospheric soundscapes.

With these upcoming anniversary shows, Lane 8 is not only celebrating the legacy of This Never Happened, but also setting the tone for its next chapter, continuing to build spaces where music, memory, and connection take priority over screens and social media.

More details, including supporting artist lineups, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
