This new artist-curated playlist, ViBURNUM, is spotlighting Ukrainian music and culture
The brainchild of Ukrainian artists Questions4Later and Andrew Lisanov, the project launches today (22 September) and will be updated on a monthly basis.
ViBURNUM is a new playlist designed to showcase the “varied essence” of Ukrainian music, culture and talent – as well as genres such as rock, indie pop, electronic and rap. It’s curated by London-based Ukrainian musician Questions4Later – aka Andrey Stukan.
“I have been closely following the war and supporting my friends and family back in Ukraine, and I decided to share and raise awareness about Ukraine via a medium close to my heart and trade: music,” said Questions4Later in a press release.
For the project, which features tracks by the likes of Go_A, Luna and Ivan Dorn amongst its inaugural selections, Questions4Later teamed up with Kyiv-based 3D designer and video director Andrew Lisanov, who designed the playlist’s distinctive cover art. This will also be updated on a monthly basis too, with each artwork set to showcase a major Ukrainian landmark.
Elaborating on their relationship in the press notes, the pair explain: “We met more than 10 years ago in Kyiv, bonding over music and [a] shared passion for hip-hop and rap. Since then, we have kept touch and most recently decided to come up with this playlist project to show people outside Ukraine and Eastern Europe some of the music we enjoy and depict the landmarks of Ukraine via the artwork.”

In March, we launched a musical fundraising project entitled Loops for Ukraine. Donate what you can to access a bank of loops from artists including VTSS, Ploy, Mount Kimbie, Laurel Halo and Coby Sey. We also compiled a resource list of charities, organisations and fundraisers helping to support the people of Ukraine.
