Ultra Music Festival Launches Artist Sustainability Initiatives ‘Mission: Home Alliance’, ‘Bayfront Bark’ & ‘Making Waves’
Mission: Home Alliance partners with world-renowned DJs such as Steve Aoki, KSHMR, Sam Feldt, TOKiMONSTA, Flux Pavilion, MORTEN, Joel Corry, ALLEYCVT and more to empower millions of fans on their journey towards sustainability
Following a banner 2025, Ultra Music Festival’s award-winning sustainability program Mission: Home enters its sixth year with the launch of a brand new artist-partnered initiative, ‘Mission: Home Alliance.’ Ultra is also bringing back popular community activations, including the ‘Bayfront Bark’ pet adoption event and the sixth-annual pre-festival shoreline cleanup, ‘Making Waves.’
Ahead of its 26th-anniversary installment taking place Friday, March 27 – Sunday, March 29, 2026, Ultra is introducing ‘Mission: Home Alliance.’ This new initiative sees Ultra Music Festival tapping into its network of superstar DJs to find that their renowned lineups feature artists who also care for the planet and want to do something about it.
‘Mission: Home Alliance’ was founded as an effort to amplify and unite Ultra artists that support the festival’s sustainability initiatives, provide a platform for them to engage fans in environmental or social action, and share resources for everyone to make more sustainable choices. 12 artists have joined ‘Mission: Home Alliance’ as Founding Members, including legendary EDM icons Steve Aoki, Sam Feldt, TOKiMONSTA, KSHMR, Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, MORTEN, Joel Corry and ALLEYCVT.
As Founding Members, these artists are communicating to their global audiences that they support a more sustainable music festival industry. Additionally, they are signing up to receive updates and educational resources curated by Ultra’s Sustainability Team, which they are encouraged to share with their millions of fans. Fans can also receive these resources directly through Ultra’s Passport program. To sign up for all ‘Mission: Home’ and Ultra Music Festival email updates, visit here.
In addition to the ‘Mission: Home Alliance’ initiative, Mission: Home is celebrating its sixth anniversary with the return of several popular community events. At the beginning of February, Ultra is bringing back ‘Bayfront Bark’ for its second annual edition, taking place Sunday, February 1, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM EST at the Dog Park located on the southeast corner of Bayfront Park.

‘Bayfront Bark’ is a pet adoption event that launched last year in partnership with Miami-Dade County Animal Services and the City of Miami Police Department. Following the success of its inaugural edition, ‘Bayfront Bark’ is back in 2026 to support local animal welfare efforts and help connect adoptable pets with forever homes. Several adoptable animals will be present for attendees considering adoption to meet and play with. All adoptions are first-come, first-served with a valid photo ID and sponsored by Ultra, so that they can be free-of-charge to loving families. Attendees can also bring clean, used linens and towels to donate to Miami Dade County Animal Services, as these items directly support their Pet Adoption and Protection Center operations for use as animal blankets, towels or cleaning rags.
Long-time ‘Mission: Home’ partner Debris Free Oceans will join the fun this year at ‘Bayfront Bark’ to educate attendees on how pet owners can help protect Biscayne Bay and our community’s health by picking up after their pets. Debris Free Oceans will also host pet-themed games at their table, giving participants a chance to win prizes!
Additionally, a new partnership with Recircle Society, a Miami nonprofit dedicated to advancing circular fashion and reducing textile waste, is bringing their pop-up clothing swap to the pawty! Join in by trading clean, gently used clothing and accessories. All styles and sizes are welcome, and festival fashion is encouraged! To participate, attendees are invited to bring clothing and accessories in good condition to swap, and can take home up to the same number of “new-to-you” items.
Swapping instead of shopping helps keep textiles out of landfills and promotes the reuse economy, while also giving back to our community. Any items not swapped will be donated to Lotus House Thrift Chic Boutique benefitting Lotus House Women’s Shelter after the event. Participants can also drop by the Recircle Society table to swap new or gently used dog toys and accessories, as well as unopened food and treats, that can be traded with fellow furry friends. All remaining items will be donated to Miami Dade County Animal Services after the event.
Also new this year, attendees will have a chance to win 2 tickets to Ultra Music Festival 2026. Entry into the ticket giveaway is earned by adopting a pet or being among the top swappers in Recircle’s clothing swap. The top swappers will be the five participants who bring the highest volume by weight of qualified clothing swap items. All items will be inspected to confirm they are clean and in good condition. Additionally, all attendees will receive free ice cream from the City of Miami Police Department’s ice cream truck and Ultra merchandise giveaways, while supplies last.
In 2025, the cleanup kicked off with the honorary release of a rehabilitated native Laughing Gull from Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, a South Florida seabird sanctuary that has provided care for over 45K animals. Cumulatively, this event has resulted in the removal of 3,370 pounds of marine debris from Bayfront Park’s shoreline.
