Skrillex shares new track, confirms new album is in “finishing” stages: Listen
Skrillex has shared a new track.
After teasing fans about the potential follow-up to his 2014-released debut album, ‘Recess’, since January this year, DJ and producer Skrillex has now shared a brand new track ahead of a bigger project.
Early this morning, Skrillex shared a photo to Twitter showing him using Ableton’s “share on Soundcloud” feature. Shortly after, the new production, ‘Kliptown Empyrean’, appeared on the producer’s Soundcloud page.
Tweeting the link, Skrillex said he was still “finishing this main body of work”, which fans hope will be multiple new albums, although it’s not yet known when the record/s might be released with the coronavirus crisis potentially placing significant strains on plans. Speaking to Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show in January this year, Skrillex did reveal though that working on this album was the first time he’d been able to take some time out and work on a full-length project while not on the road.
