Armin van Buuren and Funk Tribu Unite for Euphoric Anthem ‘Nirvana’

Electronic music titans Armin van Buuren and Funk Tribu have officially joined forces to deliver their highly anticipated collaboration, ‘Nirvana’. Released via Armada Music, the track marks a significant milestone for both artists, evolving from a spontaneous creative spark during a face-to-face set into a polished, high-energy anthem designed for the dancefloor.

‘Nirvana’ is defined by its ability to capture a sense of total immersion. The production balances euphoric, soaring leads with meticulously layered synths, creating an atmospheric soundscape that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. A driving, relentless bassline and punchy percussion ensure the track maintains a high-energy intensity, bridging the gap between classic trance roots and contemporary production techniques.

A Creative Synergy

For Armin van Buuren, the collaboration was born out of genuine admiration for his counterpart’s unique perspective. “Funk Tribu is one of the most exciting new faces in trance for me. He brings a different approach to the genre, giving it a fresh, youthful twist that I really admire,” Armin noted. “Working with someone whose music I admire so much made this a special collaboration.”

The sentiment is shared by the Colombia-born, Berlin-based producer. “Working on this track with Armin has been one of the most exciting things in my career,” Funk Tribu added. “Being able to share ideas with someone who has shaped electronic music for so many years taught me a lot and makes me appreciate what I do even more.”
