Zola Jesus and journalist Chal Ravens to discuss independent music in online talk

Crack Magazine has teamed with The Billion Seconds Institute on the upcoming talk, which takes place on 26 October.

We’re presenting an online discussion with The Billion Seconds Institute – a lifelong learning initiative committed to growing our understanding of the holistic impacts of the digital economy. The forthcoming talk, which takes place on 26 October from 6pm until 7.30pm (BST), sees music journalist Chal Ravens and artist Zola Jesus considering the ways that artists and fans are reshaping independent music, and the DIY mentality that continues to steer the industry.

The talk is the sixth in the initiative’s Internet(s) of Everything Sessions series. First launched in spring 2021, the series includes live conversations, sessions and podcasts that examine the social science behind digital technologies and infrastructures that ignited cultural phenomena and popular trends in 2020.
