Tomorrowland Shares New ‘We Are Tomorrow’ Documentary Featuring Vintage Culture

We Are Tomorrow, a new documentary short film charting the stories of six Tomorrowland attendees, is now available to watch on YouTube.

Presented by Tomorrowland in partnership with Amazon Music, the 23-minute film offers an in-depth look at the magic of the world’s largest electronic music festival, shared through the personal lens of six “People of Tomorrow” who attended Tomorrowland’s 20-year anniversary edition in Boom, Belgium in July.

Anchoring the film’s emotional discussion of Tomorrowland’s global community is Brazilian superstar DJ Vintage Culture—real name Lukas Ruiz—who was interviewed for the film from his home in São Paulo as he prepared to play the festival’s iconic main stage for the third time in his career this summer.

“Tomorrowland has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. I’m proud to be one of them,” Ruiz said in a press release. “This documentary gives us an inside look at the spirit of the Tomorrowland festival and the positive impact it has on so many.”

“It’s a behind the scenes view of the artists, fans and the team that makes it all work,” he continued. “When I was a kid, the dream of playing at Tomorrowland filled me with hope. Finally performing on the Mainstage was a dream come true. Thank you Tomorrowland for the amazing memories and so many more to come!”

Also featured in the film are the stories of British healthcare worker Curtis, who finally made it to Tomorrowland after losing his foot in a motorcycle accident last year; Argentinian best friends Julian and Danté, who fulfilled their childhood dream of attending the festival; and 18-year-old Héline, who brought her parents to Tomorrowland for the first time.

This year’s We Are Tomorrow documentary follows another film of the same name produced by the festival in 2023. That film, which keyed in on the dance music story of longtime Tomorrowland player and fellow Brazilian DJ Alok, was given Best Video honors in the events and livestream category at the 28th annual Webby Awards in May.
