Armin van Buuren & Adam Beyer Announce First-Ever B2B At A State Of Trance Festival 2025

Armin van Buuren and Adam Beyer are set to play back-to-back for the first time ever at A State Of Trance (ASOT) Festival 2025.

The respective trance and techno icons will unite for a special B2B performance at Van Buuren’s annual trance and progressive label festival, which returns to Ahoy Rotterdam on February 21-22, organizers announced last week.

Across their solo careers spanning more than three decades and nearly as long at the helm of two of dance music’s most commercially successful labels, ASOT co-founder Van Buuren and Drumcode Records boss Beyer have helped define trance and techno in the modern era. 

Now, amid a growing overlap in demand for the closely aligned sounds, their two musical worlds are finally set to collide in a performance on ASOT Festival’s Area One stage on the final night of the long-running festival. Beyer will also play solo.

The collaborative set is the latest of several high-profile B2Bs announced for ASOT Festival 2025. This year’s event will open with a unique five-hour performance from Van Buuren, during which he’ll play back-to-back with Ukrainian melodic duo ARTBAT and surging British selector Ben Hemsley—and “face-to-face” with fellow Dutch heavyweight Maddix.

Further performances throughout the weekend include Aly & Fila, Factor B, Andrew Rayel, Agents Of Time, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Nifra, and ASOT co-founder Ruben de Ronde, also playing B2B with Ferry Corsten. Check out the full lineup below.

This year’s festival will also feature daytime community programming on Saturday, offering several wellness, creativity, and industry panels, including a “Transform Your Health” sofa session with Van Buuren, between the event’s dazzling nighttime performances. A private pool party is scheduled for day two.

Founded by van Buuren and de Ronde in 2001, A State Of Trance began as a weekly radio show spotlighting the best of the genre. The namesake festival soon followed and remains a cherished annual pilgrimage for trance fans around the world.
