Polish Freedom Parade (Parada Wolności) returns to the streets of Łódź
The iconic Polish Freedom Parade (Parada Wolności) returns to the streets of Łódź from 29–31 August 2025, promising three days of unfiltered rave energy, cultural expression, and one of the most stacked techno line-ups in Europe this summer.
First launched in 1997, the parade quickly became a landmark cultural event, drawing tens of thousands of ravers from across Poland and beyond. Inspired by Berlin’s Love Parade, it combines free expression, dance music, and inclusivity in one unforgettable street demonstration. After a long hiatus and its triumphant return four years ago, this year’s edition is set to be the most ambitious yet.
The parade will unfold across Piotrkowska Street, the heart of Łódź, with floats featuring DJs from Poland’s leading clubs playing everything from drum & bass and house to techno. Each day will highlight different sounds and styles, with Sunday dedicated to the roots of club culture and house music. The event is strongly supported by the city’s progressive mayor, Hanna Zdanowska, who champions the parade’s mission of diversity, unity, and cultural celebration.
On Saturday night, the legendary Sports Arena will once again host the official afterparty, returning to its 90s roots with a massive techno line-up:
- Ben Klock b2b Marcel Dettmann – Legendary Berghain residents reunite for a rare B2B set in Poland.
- Adriana Lopez b2b Fadi Mohem – A hypnotic and dynamic fusion of Colombian and Berlin techno.
- Dax J – The UK’s uncompromising powerhouse of peak-time techno.
- Rene Wise b2b MKO – A seamless blend of modern grooves and classic energy.
- Baugruppe90 – One of Berlin’s most exciting rising duos, known for fast-paced, high-energy sets.
This afterparty marks a true celebration of underground culture, rekindling the spirit of the 90s while showcasing the future of techno.
This year, the main parade stage will be taken over by Blackworks, the explosive Spanish collective that has taken the global festival scene by storm. Known for their relentless energy and cutting-edge artists, Blackworks will bring an international edge to the heart of Poland’s rave scene.

In its early years, the Freedom Parade drew up to 80,000 ravers, uniting fans of techno, house, and jungle across generations. Organised by New Alcatraz Underground Party Organisation, the parade helped shape modern Polish club culture. In 2024, the event welcomed over 60,000 attendees, and 2025 is expected to surpass even that.
The Freedom Parade is more than a party, it’s a movement. A celebration of freedom, identity, and dance culture that brings people together through sound and shared spirit.
