Creamfields Asia Cancelled Less Than a Month Out

Edition was Set to Feature a Stellar Roster Comprising the likes of Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Steve Angello & others

Creamfields in Asia dream is officially over, albeit might be for the time being as per the organizers. The UK festival was scheduled to debut its Thailand edition on the 13th & 14th December at Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok. In partnership with Live Nation Electronic Asia, Live Nation Tero, UTA Venture and Nation Group, the festival was rumored to oversee a capacity of 50,000 spanning four stages. The arrival was supposed to elevate the stakes for Southeast Asia’s swelling market for dance music. Not anymore!

As per the organizers, ‘challenges that prevent us from delivering the experience our fans deserve’ has been summarized as the official cause. More than forty artists were supposed to grace the four stages over two nights. An impressive headline roster that included the likes of Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Steve Angello, Camelphat and others. The legendary Anjunadeep & Anjunabeats stages were also supposed to appear with mainstays of both labels scheduled to perform.

All ticket holders will be receiving a full refund ‘via their original payment method’ as per the official statement. Reddit was also abuzz with this development, with many patrons ruing the change of plans for travel, stay, etc. Many also presumed the ticket sales not meeting likely expectations being the primary reason for this eventual fate.

Organizers remain hopeful for the future though, with the official statement also mentioning ‘we look forward to welcoming you to one of our future events soon’!
