Spotify Wrapped 2025 Launches Alongside New Social Mechanic, “Wrapped Party”
The most anticipated moment of the year for Spotify has come: Spotify Wrapped. Only this year, the app expanded its annual Wrapped experience with the introduction of Wrapped Party, a new mobile-only feature that transforms personalised listening data into a live, competitive social game. The feature, which goes beyond standard social media sharing, allows users to compete and compare their 2025 listening habits with friends in real time.
Users can create or join a Wrapped Party through the Wrapped hub in the Spotify app, supporting groups of anywhere from two to ten people. The host controls the experience, inviting friends via a unique link or code. To be eligible, a user must be at least 13 years old and have streamed 30 valid tracks across five or more artists between January 1 and the launch of Wrapped on December 3.
Inside the experience, participants compete for several unique awards that celebrate the group’s one-of-a-kind listening habits. Awards categories include the friend who streamed the Most Minutes, who had the Rarest Listen, who was the Most Obsessed with their top artist, and which users are most or least musically compatible with. The specific mix of awards changes based on the group’s size and composition.
While guests can rewatch the party, it is not saved once they exit, and all participants should be aware that their listening data and profile image will be visible and shareable by others in the group.
