Funk Tribu Launches ‘Rituals’ Compilation Series on TRIBE

Funk Tribu has officially launched a new compilation series titled ‘Rituals’ on his label, TRIBE. The inaugural volume, Rituals Vol. 1, arrives today, September 18th, across all major streaming platforms. This project marks a significant milestone for the label, establishing a recurring format that highlights four distinct artists per edition.

The debut release features contributions from Afem Syko, HANAA, Supergloss, and Vall Du Son. Each artist brings a unique perspective to the compilation, drawing from diverse corners of the dance music spectrum, including techno, melodic house, and UK garage. Rather than imposing a singular sonic identity, TRIBE emphasizes the power of distinct voices coming together to form a cohesive artistic statement.

Building a Community-Driven Ecosystem

Since its inception in 2025, TRIBE has evolved into more than just a record label. By hosting club nights in cities like Bogota, Paris, Amsterdam, and Brussels, and organizing screenings in Berlin, the project has cultivated a community-driven ecosystem centered around Funk Tribu’s music and the artists within his orbit. This sense of connection is physically represented in the Rituals artwork, which features a unique handprint from each contributing artist, symbolizing their individual ties to the label.

The compilation serves as a testament to the personal relationships Funk Tribu has built with his peers. From discovering Afem Syko in a Bogota club to connecting with Supergloss in Serbia and supporting Vall Du Son since ADE 2024, each track carries a specific narrative. Newcomer HANAA, discovered through demo submissions, rounds out the collection with her track ‘Looking For My Tribe,’ which captures the essence of finding one’s musical community.

Reflecting on the Ritual

“What I like about the compilation is that there wasn’t one specific way these tracks came together,” Funk Tribu reflects. “Each artist and track has its own story and connection to me, but somehow they all ended up fitting into the same ritual.”

Launched in 2025, TRIBE is a label and collective dedicated to emotionally driven, identity-rooted club sounds. Following successful releases like ‘Azul’ and ‘Hold On,’ the project has gained significant momentum, bolstered by Funk Tribu’s recent achievements in his home country of Colombia, including two sold-out nights at Bogota’s Coliseo MedPlus and a prestigious Nota de Estilo award from the city council.
