A State of Trance Celebrates 25 Years with Free Loft Amsterdam Event
A State of Trance has officially reached its 25th-year milestone, and Armin van Buuren is commemorating the occasion with a special gift to the community. The ASOT team has confirmed an exclusive, free event set to take place at The Loft Amsterdam on June 1, 2026, running from 19:00 to 23:00. The Dutch trance legend described the gathering as a heartfelt community moment, open to all who have supported the show throughout its quarter-century journey.
“June 1st 2001 is where it all began,” Armin van Buuren shared via social media. “What started as a radio show grew into a global movement, and this year we’re celebrating 25 years of ASOT. To mark the occasion, we’re hosting an exclusive and free celebration at The Loft Amsterdam. This community made it all possible, so we’d love to celebrate together with you.”
Since its inception in 2001, the brand has evolved from a modest Friday-night radio slot into one of the most influential dance music entities in the world. Today, the weekly broadcast reaches listeners in over 80 countries, while the festival editions have brought the trance experience to iconic stages in cities like Utrecht, Mexico City, Mumbai, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The 25th-anniversary festivities have already been in full swing. Earlier this month, Armin van Buuren released the A State of Trance 2026 compilation to honor the legacy. Additionally, he recently announced a historic back-to-back set with KI/KI at A State of Trance Vietnam on June 13. The upcoming Amsterdam celebration, however, promises a more intimate, community-focused atmosphere.
Given the limited capacity of The Loft, demand for this event is expected to be exceptionally high. While details regarding registration or RSVP links have not yet been released, fans are encouraged to stay tuned to official channels for further updates as the date approaches.
