Armin van Buuren Announces ADE 2026 Opening Party at Gashouder
Trance legend Armin van Buuren has officially announced his return to the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) for the 2026 edition. The Dutch icon is set to headline the opening night party at the historic Gashouder venue on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
For this highly anticipated opening, Armin van Buuren will be joined by Dutch hard house revivalist Benwal. The event marks a significant moment for the venue, as the Gashouder reopens its doors for ADE following an extensive renovation project that commenced in early 2025. This collaboration promises to set a high-energy tone for the week of programming that follows.
In addition to the live announcement, Armin van Buuren has expanded his musical output with the release of his latest single, ‘U Got 2 Know.’ Released via Armada Music, the track is a modern reimagining of Capella’s classic 1993 dance anthem. The production features a unique blend of talent, linking Armin with Scottish hard house rising star Hannah Laing and Dutch trance veteran Wippenburg.
ADE 2026, which marks the festival’s 30th anniversary, is scheduled to run from October 21 to 25. Organizers have already confirmed that French electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre will serve as the guest of honor, performing at the ADE Opening Concert series at AFAS Live on the same night as the Gashouder opening. Jarre’s performance will also commemorate the 50th anniversary of his seminal album, ‘Oxygène.’
Pre-sale tickets for the Armin van Buuren and Benwal showcase go live at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 25. Fans are encouraged to sign up via the official Gashouder pre-registration page to secure their spot for what is expected to be one of the most sought-after tickets of the festival.
With last year’s edition hosting over 3,300 artists across nearly 250 venues, the 2026 milestone edition is shaping up to be a historic celebration of electronic music culture.
