
Block9 announces plans for Glastonbury 2025
Block9 has revealed its plans for Glastonbury 2025.
The beloved dance music area, located in the festival’s south-east “naughty” corner and known for its queer venues, political art and impressive production, will host a stacked line-up of DJs across its dazzling stages.
New for this year is a Daytime Block Party across Genosys (pictured) and The NYC Downlow, with Derrick Carter, Jayda G, Fatboy Slim, Hot Chip and Melle Brown among those providing the soundtrack.
Block9 are also partnering with Led By Donkeys on a new collaboration that will unite protest, party and counterculture politics.

At the imposing IICON, an audio-visual stage fashioned inside a giant cyborg head, artists set to play include techno originator Juan Atkins’ Cybotron group, Two Shell, Pearson Sound, SHYBOI, Paranoid London, Nia Archives, DJ Storm, Sub Focus, Bushbby, Benji B and more.
Brutalist behemoth Genosys, which made its return last year, is back again with the likes of ISAbella, Leonce, EMA, Hannah Holland, Peach x Saoirse x Moxie, Craig Richards, and queer party royalty in the form of Chapter 10 founders and Honcho’s Aaron Clark.
Queer venue The NYC Downlow and sister room The Meat Rack will again welcome an array of house, disco and drag performers.

Headline DJ names in the Downlow include Derrick Carter, Danilo Plessow, Bashkka, Gerd Janson, Colored Craig, Heléna Star, Deep Dish playing a classic house set and Luke Solomon celebrating 30 years of Classic Music Company.
Jonny Woo’s drag troupe Maude Adams will be be performing with the following themes: The Underwear Party, One Million Years BD (Before Drag), Total Slag Night, Protest, and a glorious finale on Sunday – A Night of 1000 Divines / A Celebration of John Waters.
The Meat Rack, which doubled in size last year, welcomes some major names for 2025, including Seth Troxler, NIKS, Shanti Celeste, Nabihah Iqbal and Shay Malt.

Block9 will be fundraising for PrEPster, MAP (Medical Aid For Palestinians), Crisis, Human Dignity Trust and Freedom from Torture.
