Caterina Barbieri, Maxwell Sterling and more complete Semibreve Festival 2022 line-up
The Portuguese festival returns to Braga for its 12th edition.
Semibreve has revealed the final details of its music programme for this October. Amongst the new additions is synthesist Caterina Barbieri, who last performed at the event in 2018 and this year will present her latest album Spirit Exit accompanied by visual artists Marcel Weber (MFO) and Ruben Spini. Other artists joining the bill include François J. Bonnet and Stephen O’Malley, who are set to make their debut at Semibreve, alongside Maxwell Sterling, Portuguese experimental artist David Maranha and duo Lea Bertucci and Ben Vida.
Previously confirmed acts slated to play include KMRU, Jana Rush, Alva Noto, Jan Jelinek and Gábor Lázár. There’s also a Príncipe Discos showcase, celebrating 10 years of the label, and a collaboration between Félicia Atkinson and Violeta Azevedo. Alongside the music programme, there will be a series of workshops, talks and art installations.
Semibreve festival will be held at different locations across the city of Braga, including UNESCO World Heritage site Bom Jesus and contemporary arts space gnration, from 27-30 October. Tickets start from €40 and are available here.
