Circuit Group and Create Music Group Launch Nine-Figure Fund for Music IP
The Circuit Group has announced Circuit Capital, a new music investment fund powered by Create Music Group. The partnership provides access to more than $500 million in capital that will be used to acquire and scale catalogs, labels, publishers, and other music-driven IP. The goal is to bring artist-side expertise into a part of the industry that is usually dominated by firms with little connection to the culture they are buying into.
Harvey Tadman, President of Business Development and Co-Founder of The Circuit Group, explained that the fund is built around a simple idea. Culture should guide the decisions behind these assets. The Circuit Group has spent years inside electronic music, working directly with the artists who drive the space. Circuit Capital gives creators the option to partner with a team that understands the ecosystem rather than a financial entity with no ties to the community.
Why This Matters
Backed by Create Music Group, the fund blends The Circuit Group’s cultural fluency with Create’s infrastructure, technology, and balance sheet. The approach is focused on building long-term value for catalogs and IP while keeping artists and entrepreneurs connected to the process. For artists who want to scale their rights or prepare for the future, the fund offers a path that aligns with the realities of modern electronic music.
Create CFO William Smith said the partnership is a natural fit. He highlighted The Circuit Group’s record for helping clients grow meaningful assets, including recent high-profile transactions. Jonathan Strauss, Co-Founder and CEO of Create Music Group, said the collaboration aligns with Create’s mission to support artists and entrepreneurs through technology, financing, and long-term strategy.
Along with catalog acquisitions, Circuit Capital will provide future-project financing for artists under The Circuit Group’s management. This includes back catalog investment and futures funding that artists can use to reinvest in their work and expand their creative plans. The Circuit Group’s roster includes FISHER, Chris Lake, deadmau5, Cloonee, Aluna, Ninajirachi, and others through management companies AYITA and Seven20.
