When it comes to dance music festivals, there are big weekends, and then there’s Creamfields. Returning to Daresbury, Cheshire from August 21–24, the 2025 edition is gearing up to be one of the most ambitious in its history. Rockstar Energy Presents Creamfields will see over 300 artists take over 30 stages, delivering the full spectrum of electronic music- from commercial giants to cult heroes, from euphoric spectacle to hard-edged experimentation.
Let’s talk scale. Swedish House Mafia return for a UK festival exclusive, bringing their cinematic, arena-ready anthems and a legacy that’s helped redefine electronic music on a global scale. Martin Garrix, one of the world’s most recognisable headline DJs, joins them with his chart-topping arsenal and mainstage dominance. Fatboy Slim, the king of big beat, brings decades of dancefloor disruption to Creamfields once again. Meanwhile, Chase & Status will deliver a ferocious blend of jungle, D&B, and grime, riding high from a BRIT Award win, a slew of recent charting singles, and a resurgence that’s made them one of the UK’s most important electronic acts right now.
For fans of the deeper and more conceptual side of dance music, Anyma promises a masterclass in futuristic performance for his only UK festival debut, offering a rare chance for fans to see him perform. As one half of Tale of Us and founder of Afterlife, Anyma’s blend of emotive techno, AI visuals, and otherworldly storytelling has become a defining force in the next era of live electronic artistry.
Yet, Creamfields isn’t just about the big names. It’s about what they represent: the evolution of electronic music as a serious cultural movement. That’s why the lineup also puts the spotlight on artists pushing the form forward.
David Guetta, for example, arrives with a staggering catalogue of hits, from “Titanium” to “I’m Good (Blue)”, the latter earning him his 11th Grammy nomination and nearly 2 billion streams. It’s a rare chance to see a true icon at the height of his career.
On the heavier end of the spectrum, Amelie Lens brings her razor-sharp techno sound to Creamfields, backed by her globally broadcast radio show and EXHALE party series. She’s one of the most in-demand techno artists in the world right now, and her Creamfields set is anticipated to be one of the most immersive of the weekend.
Ewan McVicar, known for injecting life back into the Scottish club scene, is riding the high of gold-certified tracks and massive venue sellouts. His grassroots approach and fluid DJ sets have made him a breakout star, as one of the most refreshing new voices on the circuit.
Ben Hemsley is another UK talent making serious waves. After selling nearly 30,000 tickets on his 2023 Connection Tour, he’s now curating his own label, Bebé, and delivering 90s-influenced rave tracks that are both nostalgic and forward-thinking. His Creamfields set will be high-energy, high-emotion, and highly unmissable.
From the club-fuelled highs of John Summit, whose new album “Comfort in Chaos” dives into everything from house to garage to D&B, to the chaos of I Hate Models, whose sets feel like a full-throttle assault of pounding techno and industrial force, this year’s lineup promises a full spectrum of sound.
And of course, the staging matches the scale. This year debuts HALO, a massive 360-degree open-air arena designed by Lucid Creates, and The Forest stage, a fusion of nature and technology that brings full sensory immersion into the woods. Add the new Downtown Village, complete with sports, wellness, pampering, DJ academies, and more, and you’ve got a full-blown electronic ecosystem.
So whether you’re dancing under the lights of a megastructure or soaking up a sunrise set in the woods, Creamfields 2025 is at the beating heart of global dance culture, brought to life for one epic weekend.
