DMX in serious condition in hospital after heart attack

DMX is in a serious condition in hospital following a heart attack.

New York-born rapper DMX, real name Earl Simmons, was admitted to intensive care on Friday (2nd) and initially placed on life support following a heart attack, according to various U.S. media outlets. Simmons’ lawyer. Murray Richman, said that he couldn’t confirm reports that drugs were responsible for the heart attack.

A representative for Simmons told TMZ that the rapper “remains in ICU in critical condition. Earl has been a warrior his entire life. This situation represents yet another road he must conquer… the Simmons family appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of heartfelt love, encouragement, support and prayers for Earl.”

According to a report from Sky News today (6th), family, friends and fans of DMX are currently holding a vigil at New York’s White Plains hospital. At the time of this article there have been no update on Simmons’ condition.
