Fabric to release iconic mix series archive via Apple Music
London’s fabric has partnered with Apple Music to bring the club’s iconic compilation series to the streaming platform.
Starting this week, ten mixes from across the club’s ‘fabric’ and ‘FABRICLIVE’ series will be uploaded for streaming each month. The first bunch includes ‘fabric’ CDs by Carl Craig, John Digweed and Rob da Bank, as well as ‘FABRICLIVE’ compilations by Pinch, DJ Marky and James Lavelle, whose mix launched the series in 2001.
In addition to mixes from the club’s compilation series, sets from fabric’s 2021 London Unlocked series are also now available on Apple Music, including mixes by Batu, Midland, Kode9 and Shy One. More will be added over the coming months.
In a statement, Kate Malcolm, of fabric Records, said of the partnership: “We were super proud to be asked by Apple to collaborate on the DJ Mix project, and especially pleased to see our iconic 200 ‘fabric’ and ‘FABRICLIVE’ mixes from the past 20 years revitalised through this collaboration. I’m imagining all the memories that will be re-kindled for so many as well as the enthusiasm from an entirely new audience.”
fabric launched its ‘fabric’ and ‘FABRICLIVE’ compilation series in 2001, with 100 editions of each being released up to 2018.
In November, fabric released the latest edition in its ‘fabric presents’ compilation series, by SHERELLE.
Earlier this year, the club launched a new 24+ hour event series, Continuum.
