“Ibiza Final Boss” Threatens Lawsuit Over Use of His Likeness in Club Promo

Jack Kay, better known online as the viral sensation Ibiza Final Boss, is threatening legal action against a Scottish nightclub promoter after his image was used without permission to advertise an event he was never booked to attend.

The issue began when Aberdeen based event brand Vanity Fridays promoted an “Ibiza Final Boss Rave” at Babylon nightclub, using Kay’s likeness and branding on social media. The event poster implied that the viral personality would be making an appearance at the club, something Kay’s team says is completely false.

“It’s a complete misrepresentation and a con,” Kay’s management said in a statement. “The promoter used Jack’s image and persona without permission to mislead the public and sell tickets under false pretenses.”

A legal notice was issued to the promoter seen by The Press and Journal, demanding the immediate removal of the post. Kay’s team is also considering imposing a licensing fee on any revenue generated through the unauthorized use of his image.

A Scheduled Appearance Elsewhere

Adding to the confusion, Kay is actually booked to perform in Aberdeen, just not at Babylon. He’s slated to appear at Aura nightclub during the city’s Fresher’s Week celebrations. The misleading promotion by Vanity Fridays appears to have piggybacked off that appearance to drive attention to their own event.

Fans quickly noticed the overlap, with some assuming Kay would be appearing at both venues. The original Instagram post from Vanity Fridays has since been deleted. As of now, neither the promoter nor Babylon nightclub have released a public statement regarding the incident.
