Native Instruments Introduces Traktor MX2, a Streamlined 2-Channel Controller
Native Instruments has announced the release of the Traktor MX2, a next-generation two-channel DJ controller designed for performance-focused artists at every level. Compact yet powerful, the MX2 combines hands-on control with deep integration into Traktor Pro 4, offering a straightforward setup for both newcomers and seasoned DJs who need a portable, club-ready solution.
Bundled with the full version of Traktor Pro 4 and a two-month Beatport Streaming trial, the MX2 gives users immediate access to a massive library of tracks and professional-grade features out of the box. It continues Native Instruments’ legacy of designing hardware that integrates tightly with its software ecosystem, while also introducing refinements that make live performance faster and more intuitive.

Streamlined Layout, Powerful Tools
The MX2’s surface is built around two touch-sensitive jog wheels and 16 RGB performance pads. These pads unlock four modes—Hotcues, Flux Loops, Pattern Player, and Stems—covering everything from live remixing to drum sequencing. The Stems feature allows DJs to split tracks into vocals, drums, bass, and instruments for on-the-fly reworks, while the Pattern Player turns the controller into a live step sequencer for percussion.
Mixer FX and Deck FX continue to play a major role in shaping sets. The MX2 includes nine one-knob Mixer FX for fast transitions and more than 40 studio-quality Deck FX for deeper sound design. These tools make it easy to create buildups, breakdowns, and movement within a mix without interrupting performance flow.
Built-In Audio and Smart Design

Native Instruments equipped the MX2 with a 24-bit/96kHz interface that delivers clear and balanced sound across a range of environments, from small parties to professional club systems. The integration of iZotope’s Ozone Maximizer inside Traktor Pro 4 keeps output consistent and distortion-free, even at higher levels.
The hardware design also focuses on visibility and control. The bottom shell glows when a track approaches its endpoint or loops, while the customizable pad colors help performers stay oriented during long sets. Every design choice reinforces workflow and usability, prioritizing reliability for live use.
The Traktor MX2 launches at $449 in the US, €399 in Europe, and £349 in the UK, available now through Native Instruments’ website and authorized retailers.
