The Bug returns with “12 ‘Burials / Mud’
The Bug has announced a new double-single ‘Burials / Mud’, set to land on Relapse Records on June 13.
Consisting of ‘Bury Dem’ featuring vocals from LOGAN and ‘Deep in Mud’, a collaboration with Lagos rapper Magugu, the release also features two standalone dubs for each track: ‘Buried Dub’ and ‘Mud Dub’.
“For me, “Burials / Mud’ is a celebration of verbal grime and sonic filth, where dub meets riff, and beats add brute physicality,” The Bug says. “It’s a bridge between the mechanised relentlessness of ‘Machine’ and the raw, dubbed-out extremity of Bug live shows. Logan and Magugu add fire to the flames, as the original rhythms are intensified and fully f-cked with.”
