Mera Bhai shifts his sound on new single ‘Work Ain’t Nuthin’’

Mera Bhai has released a funky new single titled ‘Work Ain’t Nuthin’’ via his Morning Raga Recordings label, teasing a change in sound and fortchoming EP which is set to follow this summer. “I can’t give too much away at this point but am really excited to share this one with the world” the Flamingods member, real name Karthik Poduval, divulged.

The upbeat track channels frustration with creative hustle culture into something more vibey, with shuffling drums, shimmering synths and a relatable vocal hook that chimes “‘work ain’t nuthin’ but it pays the bills”.

DJ Plant Texture tells his ‘Life’ story with Tresor Records debut

A brand new EP titled ‘Life’ from DJ Plant Texture, his first release with Tresor Records, is themed around the sweeping narrative of his life story.

“Life is about the fear of growing up,” he shares. “People want to reflect themselves in the music; something personal. Lots of people have been in touch after hearing it; I guess they feel something melancholic in it. Personally, I imagine the track is like the life of a person; going from being born through childhood and youth and onwards, so perhaps they hear this?”

The opener in the eight-track EP, ‘Ripetitivo (Stretch Mix)’, is available to listen to now.

Release date: April 4. Pre-order it here.

FABRICLIVE announces inaugural artist release from Sully

Bass specialist Sully is the first to be selected to usher in FABRICLIVE’s “new renewed vision” with the label’s first-ever, inaugural artist release.

Following the departure of FABRICLIVE’s acclaimed mix series in 2018, Sully brings the first record to the label with ‘Model Collapse’, a two-track EP influenced by his time on the free party scene.

Both tracks span “lazer-focused” jungle, drum ‘n’ bass, and techstep, delving into gritty, on-point percussion and mutated synths. The title track is out now.

Ezra Collective return with brand new single, ‘Body Language’

Former Mixmag cover stars Ezra Collective are back with a brand new single, ‘Body Language’, their latest release since last year’s lauded album ‘Dance, No One’s Watching’.

The track – featuring vocals from British-Colombian artist Sasha Keable – celebrates “movement, culture, and collaboration” with a nod to Latin American dance music.

The release of ‘Body Language’ follows the band’s recent nomination sweep at the BRIT Awards 2025. Ahead of next weekend’s event, Ezra Collective picked up four nominations, including Album of the Year and Best New Artist.

Nazar changes direction on new Hyperdub album, ‘Demilitarize’

Angola-born, Manchester-based producer Nazar is returning with his second album, ‘Demilitarize’, this spring, some five years since the release of his debut record ‘Guerrilla’.

The new 10-track release lands on Hyperdub in April – an exploration of kuduro rhythms and Nazar’s gentle vocals. The first track from the album, ‘Anticipate’, is out now.

“With the album being introspective, I didn’t seek to capture sounds from real places to enhance its universe like on ‘Guerilla’,” he says. “I wanted to make it almost metaphysical like creating sci-fi, with classic cyberpunk anime ‘Ghost In The Shell’ being a core inspiration.”

Release date: April 25. Pre-order here.
