Numark Launches Affordable Bluetooth DJ Controllers for Beginners

Getting behind the decks does not have to mean dropping thousands of dollars on a professional setup. Numark has officially introduced two new, highly accessible controllers aimed at beginner and mobile DJs: the Party Mix III and the ultra-portable MixTrack Go, priced at $149 and $99, respectively.

Both controllers integrate features typically reserved for more advanced DJ workflows—including Stems control, Bluetooth MIDI, and Fade FX—into compact, intuitive designs intended to lower the barrier to entry for aspiring artists. According to the official announcement, both models are available now through authorized retailers.

Party Mix III: Stems and Integrated Lighting

The Party Mix III builds upon the success of Numark’s popular beginner-focused series. It features a traditional two-deck layout, responsive capacitive jog wheels, and eight performance pads per deck. These pads provide tactile control over Hot Cues, Loops, Samplers, Stems, and FX, while dedicated Instrumental and Acapella buttons allow DJs to isolate track elements in real-time.

Staying true to the series’ reputation, the controller includes a built-in, beat-synced LED light show to enhance the performance atmosphere. Additionally, the unit is equipped with Beat Align indicators to assist beginners in mastering manual beatmatching, complemented by three-band EQ, filters, and dedicated headphone and speaker outputs.

MixTrack Go: Portability Meets Performance

For DJs prioritizing mobility, the MixTrack Go offers a streamlined, ultra-compact solution. Weighing just 1.32 pounds, it stands as the most portable controller in the current Numark lineup. Despite its small footprint, it retains essential features such as capacitive jog wheels, performance pads, Stems controls, Fade FX, and a built-in audio interface.

Both controllers offer versatile connectivity, supporting Bluetooth MIDI for use with compatible smartphones and tablets, or traditional USB-C connections for laptops. They are fully compatible with Algoriddim djay and Serato DJ Lite, with additional support for Serato DJ Pro and VirtualDJ via separate licensing. Because they are USB-C powered, they can be easily operated using a laptop, tablet, or even a portable power bank.

It is important to note that the Bluetooth functionality is designed for controlling DJ software rather than wireless audio transmission. When utilizing Bluetooth MIDI, users will need to monitor their audio output through their connected mobile device. For those learning their first transitions or seeking a highly portable rig, these new offerings from Numark provide a compelling entry point into the world of DJing.
