ORIGIN Los Angeles to Open in Arts District Late Summer 2026

Downtown Los Angeles is set to welcome a new cornerstone for the electronic music community. ORIGIN Los Angeles, an independent indoor/outdoor venue located at 613 Imperial Street in the Arts District, is scheduled to open its doors in late summer or early fall 2026. This project aims to provide a purpose-built club environment within one of the city’s most vibrant cultural hubs.

The venue is the brainchild of Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the creative forces behind prominent nightlife brands such as SBCLTR and Minimal Effort. With over two decades of combined experience in shaping the underground scene through events like LABYRINTO, Brunch Electronik, and The Maze, the duo is now establishing their first permanent home for music enthusiasts.

The venue utilizes an existing industrial space, thoughtfully transformed to feature a main indoor music room alongside a spacious outdoor patio. This design choice reflects the Arts District’s unique intersection of industrial heritage and creative community spirit. Regarding programming, guests can look forward to consistent electronic bookings every Friday, while Saturdays will feature a mix of daytime outdoor events and late-night house and techno sessions. The team also plans to host quarterly events that utilize the full capacity of the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Technical excellence is a priority for the new space. ORIGIN features a custom analog KV2 Audio system, meticulously tuned to ensure sonic clarity and consistent coverage from the dance floor to the mezzanine. The outdoor area has been engineered specifically to perform in open-air conditions. Furthermore, the interior design is led by Marc Dizon, whose portfolio includes notable venues such as Brooklyn Mirage, Output New York, and Sound Los Angeles.

The brand identity for the project is being developed by the Super Evil Genius Group, the agency behind high-profile projects like John Summit’s Experts Only Records and the launch of Tao Beach in Las Vegas. As the team prepares for the grand opening, they emphasize a long-term vision: creating a permanent, music-first sanctuary for artists, promoters, and the local community.
