Sheffield’s No Bounds announces virtual festival
Sheffield’s No Bounds Festival has confirmed plans to host a virtual event next month.
The mostly online event will be livestreaming from Sheffield Industrial Museum (SIM) and Hope Works from October 12th to 18th with a programme that takes in live performances, DJ sets, workshops, installations and talks.
Saoirse, Barker, Space Afrika, Blasha & Allatt, The Black Dog and No Bounds founder Lo Shea will all be DJing from Hope Works, with their sets streamed live online. SIM, meanwhile, will host a number of alternative experiences, including a remote audience participatory installation by Mark Fell and Rian Treanor working with 14-17 year olds on-site to create collaborative music.
Further line-up highlights include DJ and live sets from 96 Back, Tasha and CPU Records affiliate Annie Hall, as well as a Nyege Nyege Tapes showcase, featuring DJ Diaki, Don Zilla and Duma.
In addition to No Bounds’ virtual festival for 2020, Hope Works recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the club while it remains closed to crowds amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
