The 15 Best Disco & Funk Tracks Of October 2025
Welcome to October and the 15 best Disco & Funk tracks chart! This month, we will be checking out new music from JKriv, MGR Mike, Jaegerossa, and more. As always, the music is as diverse as the artists themselves, so let’s get to dancing!
The October chart is going to look a little different, dare I say, retro. I will no longer be using Spotify as a platform, so this chart will look a lot more like it used to. Same great music, just an old, familiar place to listen to it!

JKriv – Adaptation [Rocksteady Disco]
“Adaptation” evokes a sense of rebirth, and that is something JKriv is experiencing in 2025 after receiving the all clear following a brush with cancer. The title track from his latest EP of the same name, this song falls on the mellow side of Disco/House, drawing the listener into a lush landscape of a melodic wonderland.
Jaegerossa – Hey Zeus Children (John Morales M+M Mix) [Do It Anyway Records]
“Hey Zeus Children” has a rising-from-the-ashes, joyous vibe that is amplified to Disco heaven by John Morales. After the tragic loss of his creative partner, Andy Williams, earlier this year, Jaegerossa (Phil Rose) isn’t slowing down, but rather is having a professional reset. There is nothing like a little praise music to raise your spirits!
Jet Boot Jack & Jonathan Ulysses – Curious (Pete Ellison Remix) [Hot Gorilla Records]
Jet Boot Jack & Jonathan Ulysses are back with another hot collaboration on “Curious”, a soulful Disco-House jam that has been expertly tuned-up with a high-energy remix by Pete Ellison (his first, BTW!). This remix is dancefloor-ready, with a quicker tempo that begs the listener to get a little sweaty!
MGR Mike – Heaven (Extended Mix) [Sparkle Motion Recordings]
MGR Mike has firmly planted his flag in the Disco-House universe, and it suits this artist well! “Heaven” lands a little more on the House side of Disco, but don’t think that this track won’t burn up your Disco party, because it might actually light up the discoball all on its own!
Golden Gate & Inaya Day – My Name Is Love [The Disco Express]
The Disco Express is celebrating its 100th release as a label with its star-packed compilation, including the stellar “My Name Is Love”, a collaboration between Golden Gate and the illustrious Inaya Day! The lyrics are uplifting and remind you why you need Disco music and the joy, love, and community it brings! This is classic Disco for the modern era.
Alpha – Sky’s Too High [Adilonia Music]
Now we are going to turn our attention to a track that is a little different. Sam Paganini, aka Alpha‘s “Sky’s Too High”, lands in the cosmic-disco stratosphere, with vocals that are light as air, and musical influences as diverse as Italo and French Disco from the 70s. The result is a modern take on Nu-Disco, while honoring the many electro influences of the past.
Igor Gonya & Hotmood – Strings Boogie [Sundries]
Music is a global affair, and the collaboration of Russia’s Igor Gonya and Mexico’s Hotmood on “Strings Boogie” is a perfect example. This track has a classic Disco feel updated by modern production techniques. The bass is thumping alongside the sweeping strings and limited vocals, allowing the music to come together and shine!
FSQ, Moniquea, XL Middleton – Feeling Wide (Instrumental Version) [Soul Clap Records]
If there were to be an end-of-the-night Disco soundtrack, I would like FSQ, Moniquea, and XL Middleton‘s “Feeling Wide” (Instrumental Version) to be on it. The live instrumentation gives this track a level of authenticity that makes it feel timeless, grabbing Disco, Fusion Jazz, and Electro influences and pouring them into a delicious groove soup!
The Loneliest Hunk – Let Me In Your Heart [Follow Joy Records]
“Let Me in Your Heart” is one of those great songs which is truly the sum of its influences, part Disco, part Italo-Disco, part Electro, part Boogie. The Loneliest Hunk wants to be in our hearts, and this song is certainly a way to mine! Check it out on Follow Joy Records!
Alex Frankel – Icarus [Juliet Records]
It’s been five years since we’ve heard new music from Holy Ghost!’s Alex Frankel, and “Icarus” reminds us of what we’ve been missing! Now on Juliet Records (Chromeo), Frankel’s new song is equal parts Nu-Disco and Yacht Rock, the track reflecting what’s been going on in Frankel’s life since we last heard from him. Frankel wrote, performed, and produced the track, and it is an exciting intro into what is to come from this talented artist.
Ora The Molecule – Løveskatt (Prins Thomas Extended Diskomiks) [Mute Records]
I’m the first person to admit that I love Prins Thomas‘ Diskomiks, and his take on Ora The Molecule‘s “Løveskatt” is a truly wild ride! This track is an acid trip into the cosmic Disco universe. The original vocals are still here, taking on a muted tone, and then you find yourself fully immersed in a track that lives somewhere between reality and the great beyond!
Ampersounds – Free To Dance With Me Feat. Alexis Taylor [Ampersounds]
Fred Falke and Zen Freeman have joined forces as Ampersounds and released their debut album, Generations, which is jam-packed with dance music royalty, including Todd Edwards, Steve Edwards, Toro Y Moi, Owl Eyes, STRFKR, and more. “Free To Dance With Me” taps the signature vocals of Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, who brings an elegance to the swirling Disco strings, synths, and claps. This is an album not to be missed!
Adelphi Music Factory – I’m Sorry (Extended Mix) [Juliet Records]
Sheffield, UK trio Adelphi Music Factory are laying down the funk on their first outing with Juliet Records with “I’m Sorry”, a bass-heavy Disco-Funk jam with the only lyric being the title, and it doesn’t need anything else, because the music does all of the talking here!
Manuel Costela – Dreams [Spa In Disco]
Do you like bass? Manuel Costela‘s “Dreams” has a consistent bass groove that fuels the synths and takes you on a cosmic odyssey through his dreams. The track sounds like it could have been on the soundtrack of some early ’80s movie, but it has a wonderful, modern funk feel that is right at home in 2025. Find his new EP on Spa In Disco now.
Panpe n’u – Midnight Roller [See-Saw]
I want to welcome Spanish brothers Pere and Pau, better known as Panpe n’u, to the chart! “Midnight Roller” is a high-energy slice of Disco-House. This duo is not new to the game, as Pere began DJing in 2004, and it wasn’t long before Pau joined in on the fun, becoming Pere’s right-hand man and eventually starting to DJ himself. These brothers’ bond is clear, and it is reflected in the spirit of their music.
