This new photo exhibition celebrates clubbing memories and stories
Dancefloor Recall, a photography project based around London nightlife, is to host an exhibition event at the city’s Corsica Studios.
The project, which is the work of photographers Heather Shuker and Fran Hales, was birthed amid the closure of clubs in the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic, and revolves around a series of portraits captured outside London clubs. Shuker and Hales hoped to capture various human relationships and connections that started on the city’s dancefloors with the project.
The exhibition event will take place on Thursday, 7th October, and will see photos from the project presented alongside audio clips related to each image. Some of the people featured in the photos will also be present at the event.
Entry is free, but you must get a ticket in advance, which you can do here.
Shuker and Hales have plans to develop the project into a book, and extend it across the UK to take in more stories from around the country.
