Originally hailing from Northern Baltimore, Maryland, the 26-year-old producer and DJ, Seanyy, also serves as a Finance Officer in the US Army and is currently stationed in Germany. In everything that he touches, his passion is crystal clear, which is what makes Seanyy one of the leading tastemakers you don’t want to sleep on.

“There’s actually a cool story behind ‘Be Like That.’ It originally started out as a remix for a competition of the track ‘High Enough’ by Justin Caruso & Rosie Darling. I was in a time crunch to finish it as I was heading to Air Assault school in a week. As I was struggling through Day 0 of Air Assault School, I sent the files to my buddy Jonth for the finishing touches on the production (mixing and mastering) for him to upload it to SKIO on my behalf. I didn’t end up winning the contest, which was a shame, but I remember the drive home from Grafenwoer as I was blasting the finished tune on repeat — just loving the final result. I always and will forever correlate this track to those brutal two weeks I endured at Air Assault. Fast forward almost two years: I revisit the project and turn it into an original. I got so much positive feedback from the original remix it just felt shameful to not officially release it. That’s how ‘Be Like That’ was born” – Seanyy

ABOUT SEANYY:

Sean Danielczyk (Seanyy) was born and raised in the small, rural town, Hereford, located just 30-minutes north of Baltimore, MD. The oldest of three, Sean was always a bright and personable kid. He was a relative class clown in school and appreciated attention when he got it. Through all of grade school, Sean was involved with music. Whether it was a recorder, the trumpet, french horn, guitar, or most recently the piano, he has always had a knack for music and theory.

Growing up, Sean did not have WiFi at home, so In order to learn music, he would go to the local library or the café to download bunches of YouTube videos, and study them. His earliest recollections of electronic music was listening to Basshunter ‘Russian Privjet’ on repeat while playing Call of Duty World at War. Fast forward a couple of years and Skrillex came out with Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites — and the rest was history. From then on, it’s almost like all Sean listened to was EDM. Infatuated with UKF dubstep, this is where Seanyy’s roots stem from. You can still hear some small melodic elements and heavy bass in my tracks that can trace back to the glory days of Doctor P, Skepta, Modestep, etc.

Sean takes inspiration from artists like Brooks, Retrovision, Lucas & Steve, and most importantly, Don Diablo. After finding success with DJing, Sean downloaded Ableton and released his first track in 2016, a remix for a competition of Switchfoot’s ‘Float’, which received very positive feedback and was reposted by a handful of Christian music outlets. Sean’s first original track ‘Tacos’ was released independently back in 2017. Sean is currently stationed overseas with the US Army. Through a busy schedule as an Active Duty Army Officer, time management is the key to Sean’s relative success.
