3hd Festival 2022 hosts Juliana Huxtable, Iceboy Violet and DJ Plead
The Berlin event kicked off on the 20th and runs until 29 October.
Organised by interdisciplinary platform and collective Creamcake, this year’s edition of 3hd Festival takes its theme – Life, the Universe and Everything – from Douglas Adam’s The Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Acts involved include Manchester-based rapper and experimental producer Iceboy Violet and Juliana Huxtable – who both played the festival’s opening weekend – as well as DJ Plead and musician, DJ and writer Flora Yin Wong.
Other artists involved are Tianzhuo Chen, who is part of multi-disciplinary collective Asian Dope Boys, Jana Rush and Safety Trance – aka Cardopusher. There’s also new immersive audio-visual performance The Waxing by Omsk Social Club and Joey Holder, happening tonight (26 October) at Zeiss Grand Planetarium.
This year’s 3hd event, which marks the festival’s eighth edition, also features group exhibition Don’t Panic which runs at Tempelhof’s soft power until 29 November. The upcoming second weekend of 3hd comprises an evening of performance on 29 October at Trauma Bar und Kino followed by a clubnight which will see DJ Plead, Flora Yin Wong, Slim Soledad and Prison Religion play.
3hd Festival is currently underway at various venues across Berlin. Head to the 3hd Festival website for further information and the full programme.
