2000black to release debut EP from Samii, ‘Figuring It Out’

Vocalist and songwriter Samii is set to release her debut EP, ‘Figuring It Out’, via Dego’s 2000black imprint.

2000black is a collective and label dedicated to “genre-defying music from the African diaspora”, and its latest offering follows releases by Kaidi Tatham, Dego and Marvin Jupiter.

Arriving on vinyl and digital on November 27th, the four-track release fuses soul, R&B and electronic influences and tackles themes of love and loss via her own experiences – “an ode to self-discovery,” as she describes it.

‘Figuring It Out’ follows 2000black’s release of Degos’ ‘The Never Seen On Wax Jams vol 2′.
