Bicep, Loraine James and Kampire announced for Wide Awake 2022
The London festival returns in May.
Wide Awake has made its first artist announcement for 2022. The festival will head to south London’s Brockwell Park next spring for an expanded two-day event taking place on 27-28 May.
Belfast-born duo Bicep will headline the festival on the Friday night, with Primal Scream locked in as Saturday night headliners. The band will perform their landmark 1991 album Screamadelica in its entirety during their slot. The show will form part of Primal Scream’s ongoing celebrations surrounding the 30th anniversary of Screamadelica.
Elsewhere, the likes of Loraine James, Call Super, Kampire, Overmono, Elkka, Grove and Caribou will perform at the festival. They’ll be joined by Alewya, Louise Chen, Leon Vynehall, Floating Points, The Comet is Coming, Connan Mockasin, Boy Harsher and more, with further line-up inclusions still to be announced.
Wide Awake 2022 runs from 27-28 May, 2022. Early bird tickets are on sale now via the festival’s site.
